My background
Born on New York’s Lower East Side and raised in Woodstock, New York, by a family of musicians and artists, I developed a deep empathy for others and the belief that health is a human right and not a luxury. I majored in Psychology for my undergraduate degree at Hunter College, Minoring in Africana and Puerto Rican/Latino studies. I was inspired to enter the field of nutrition after her personal experience with a chronic GI condition, which was poorly managed by her doctors and led to years of unnecessary food restriction. I earned my Master's degree in Clinical Nutrition from New York University and completed my clinical training at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City. I am trained as a health coach and specialize in health behavior modification, lifestyle medicine (sleep, stress management, physical activity), and relationship with food.
