Seeing patients at 485 Lexington Ave

Dr. Kerstetter, a highly experienced osteopathic physician, has almost 25 years of experience in primary care, as well as in the areas of executive and occupational health. After graduating in the top 1/3 of his class from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine and completing an allopathic family practice residency at York Hospital in his hometown of York, PA, he has continued to take a holistic approach to care for his patients.

He believes strongly in the importance of preventative health care by focusing on identifying and treating cardiovascular risk factors such as hypertension and hyperlipidemia. He is committed to educating his patients about the importance of a healthy lifestyle, cancer screening, and vaccination. He has a broad-based knowledge of managing obesity and diabetes and an in-depth knowledge of treating commonly identified mental health conditions such as depression, anxiety, and ADD.

As an osteopathically educated physician, he has an affinity for addressing musculoskeletal issues, particularly mechanical cervical and lower back pain. Dr. Kerstetter welcomes the LGBTQIA+ community and is trained in transgender care, including gender-affirming hormone treatment and PrEP.

What I do for fun

Over the past two decades, I have been fortunate enough to have traveled to five continents, experiencing diverse cultures and cuisines. Along with my life partner and husband of almost 2 decades, Freddie, we continue to enjoy these culinary adventures in and around our home in Westchester and Manhattan as well. We share a love of life and for our fur baby, Finn, our almost three-year old cockapoo. As a former performer in community and regional musical theater, I have continued to pursue my love of theater vicariously through attending as many Broadway productions as possible. In my spare time, I relax by dabbling in horticulture.
